What should we be doing over the winter months?

    in Welcome to the Forum

Now is a great time to put your "kits" together, assemble all the items you will need for the upcoming campaign season . Or if you already have a kit, now's the time to mend , fix adjust and correct fit and finish of your kits. Starting with your spatterdashes, they should not be lose and floppy the should fit snug around your ankle, or your none period glasses , you can get period spectacles from a variety of vendors and most optometrists can fit your prescription into them or get contacts and remember no sunglasses and just because they are round doesn't make them period correct .

you can also look at the Von Steuben manual of arms for drills ad get ready for spring drills . lots todo to get ready and if your not sure what to do just ask!! any veteran member ..thanks !

All good stuff for when things open up... probably the fall.

An easy winter project for soldiers is a lock cover. Great at protecting your lock and powder in the pan during inclement weather.
